The epigenetic backdrop of a long, healthy life is the downregulation of NF-kB expression and the upregulation of its nemesis, Nuclear factor (erythroid-derived 2)-like 2, or Nrf-2. Nrf-2 activation upregulates various antioxidant and detoxification enzymes, such as glyoxylate carboligase (GCL), manganese superoxide dismutase (MnSOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GPx). With brilliant wisdom, Nature has supplied a veritable cornucopia of agents that do exactly this – namely upregulate Nrf-2 and downregulate NF-kB. These agents are known as medicinal plants!*

Join Dr. Lise Alschuler for a brief presentation, followed by an open Q&A session on this important topic. Pose your questions directly to Dr. Alschuler in this interactive exchange of information and ideas on botanical epigenetic anti-inflammation.

Attend and be eligible to win a new iPad Air with a 1 year paid subscription to Epocrates Essentials!! Must be present to win.
