Gene McGill Joins the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians as State Government Relations Director
Former member of Pennsylvania House of Representatives brings unique skill set to the job

After an extensive search, former Pennsylvania House of Representatives Member Gene McGill joined the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians as its new State Government Relations Director on June 21, 2010.  Mr. McGill is tasked with evaluating the overall effectiveness of each state’s licensure efforts and clearly defining the political requirements for success.

Mr. McGill served his constituents in Pennsylvania’s 151st state congressional district for six terms, from 1995 to 2006.  His career includes six years on the Horsham Township Council, and time as a manufacturer’s representative before the Pennsylvania General Assembly, state regulatory agencies, and the executive branch.  His extensive background in government affairs has given him the unique blend of legislative savvy, political acumen, and volunteer development skills that will enable him to support state affiliates as they develop advocacy strategies and conduct ongoing evaluations of their progress.

“I am very pleased to have someone with Mr. McGill’s talents leading our efforts in the states,” said Karen Howard, Executive Director of the AANP.  “He joins us with strong reputation for simply getting the job done regardless of the obstacles, and I suspect he will quickly become the best friend of each State President engaged in this work.”
