  Alan Gaby, MD
Dr. Gaby received his undergraduate degree from Yale University, his M.S. in biochemistry from Emory University, and his M.D. from the University of Maryland. He was in private practice for 19 years, specializing in nutritional medicine. He is past-president of the American Holistic Medical Association and gave expert testimony to the White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine on the cost-effectiveness of nutritional supplements. He is the author of the textbook, Nutritional Medicine.
  Amy Rothenberg, ND
Dr. Rothenberg, a 1986 graduate of NCNM practices in Connecticut . She blogs for the Huffington Post and enjoys writing and speaking on topics in natural medicine. Her book, The A Cappella Singer Who Lost Her Voice & Other Stories From Natural Medicine, was published in 2010. She sits on the Board of Directors of the AANP & is president of the Massachusetts Society of Naturopathic Doctors. Dr. Rothenberg teaches through the New England School of Homeopathy and was the long time editor of the New England Journal of Homeopathy. Dr. Rothenberg served on the Board of Health in Amherst, Massachusetts for six years & is currently Vice President of the Board of the Amherst Survival Center, which offers free medical care, food, clothing and community to people in need With her husband and partner extraordinaire, Paul Herscu ND, MPH, she has raised three wonderful children.
  Aristo Vojdani, PhD
Aristo Vojdani obtained his Ph.D. in the field of microbiology and clinical immunology from Bar Ilan University, Israel, with postdoctoral studies in tumor immunology at UCLA. He is CEO and Technical Director of Immunosciences Lab., Inc. in Los Angeles, CA; the Chief Scientific Advisor for Cyrex Laboratories, LLC in Phoenix, AZ; Professor of Neuroimmunology at the Carrick Institute, and has published more than 145 peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals.  Dr. Vojdani received the Herbert J. Rinkel Award from the American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) for excellence in teaching the techniques of environmental medicine, the Linus Pauling, PhD Award from the American College for Advancement in Medicine (ACAM), and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Carrick Research Institute..
  Brad Lichtenstein, ND
Brad S. Lichtenstein, ND, BCB is a graduate of Bastyr University, where he currently is Chair of Homeopathy, and is BCIA Board Certified in Biofeedback. His work emphasizes the creation of psycho-emotional-spiritual wellness in the midst of living with a chronic, life-challenging illness. For several years, he worked at the Bastyr Integrative Oncology Research Center (BIORC) providing counseling, biofeedback, meditation and other mindbody therapies. Additionally, he was involved in a joint research study between Bastyr University and University of Washington examining end-of-life care and quality of death, during which time he lead over 500 guided meditation session to hospice patients. At Bastyr Center for Natural Health in Wallingford, he supervises Clinical Biofeedback shifts, teaching mind-body techniques to patients to help reduce stress, minimize pain, and create a balanced life. In addition to his work at Bastyr, Dr. Lichtenstein maintains a private practice as well as teaches group workshops and writes.
  Bruce Milliman, ND, President of NAPCP
Bruce Milliman ND is a 1982 graduate of Bastyr University’s Naturopathic Medicine Program. He is past president of the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians (WANP) & past Clinical Director at Bastyr University where he has been ranked an Associate Professor. He is ‘Physician of the Year’ (1996) of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP). He has worked extensively to help gain access for both patients and practitioners to health insurance reimbursement for primary care naturopathic and other non-conventional services. He currently represents the AANP on the AMA CPT Editorial Panel/HCPAC (Health Care Professional Advisory Committee). He is past AANP Board Member and Speaker of the AANP House of Delegates. He is the founding and current president of the NAPCP. He has been a naturopathic primary care physician for 32 years, now at one of the earliest integrative clinics established in the United States, Seattle Healing Arts Center, with nearly sixty other clinicians. He resides with his wife, Pamela Snider, ND (Bastyr, ’82) on the ‘family farm’ in North Bend, WA. They have four grown children, all who lead interesting lives and of whom they are quite proud.   Chen Yen

  Christian Dodge, ND
Christian Dodge is an associate clinical professor at Bastyr University and has been in private practice in Seattle for the last 11 years.   He is currently the Bastyr representative to the House of Delegates of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and has served on the board of the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians from 2002-2009 including terms as vice president, chair of the the Peer Review Committee, and chair of the Legal, Legislative, and Insurance Committee.  Dr. Dodge completed a two-year residency at Bastyr in 2004 and earned his ND degree from from Bastyr University in 2002.   Prior to his medical training, Dr. Dodge completed a master's degree in psychology and dual bachelors' degrees in biology and psychology from Stanford University. He is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the Naturopathic Academy of Primary Care Physicians.
  Christie Fleetwood, ND, RPh
Christie Fleetwood, ND, RPh is both a naturopathic doctor (Bastyr University, 2004) and a registered pharmacist (Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia, 1988).  She returned to unlicensed Virginia after graduating from Bastyr and has only recently moved back to broad-scope Washington.  Her unique education and training make her “medically bilingual”, understanding both conventional medicine as well as natural forms of healing.  Her niche is getting her patients so well, they find they’re over-medicated and require her expertise to help them get off the drugs!
  Corey Schuler, MS, DC, CNS, LN
Dr. Corey Schuler is a licensed nutritionist, board-certified nutrition specialist, and chiropractic physician. He owns and operates the Metabolic Treatment Center in Bloomington, Minnesota which emphasizes functional medicine approaches to mood and hormonal conditions. He teaches Nutrition Assessment at the School of Applied Clinical Nutrition of New York Chiropractic College. Dr. Schuler received his M.S. in Human Nutrition from University of Bridgeport, his D.C. from Northwestern Health Sciences University, and his B.S. from Valparaiso University.
  Corinne Maul de Soto, ND, MS
Corinne Maul de Soto graduated from the National College of Natural Medicine with a Doctorate in naturopathic medicine (ND) and a Master’s of Science in integrative medicine research. Her thesis research focused on global health echoing an interest in practicing with diverse patient populations both domestically and abroad. Prior to receiving her ND degree, Dr. Maul de Soto worked conducting research in optical science and nanotechnology at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories and spent several years working on community development projects in Central America. She is currently starting a naturopathic general practice at the Ho’o Lokahi Clinic in Kona, Hawaii.
  David Garrison
David is Partner at The Brytemoore Group, a brand consulting firm. His experience spans industries from Healthcare, Technology, and Pharmaceuticals to Insurance, Professional Services, and Non-Profits.   Prior to Brytemoore, David served as Principal at Edelman Consulting, the management strategy arm of the world’s leading PR firm, and CMO of Indaba Music, the leading collaboration tool for musicians. Before Indaba, David spent time with agency SS+K and as a consultant at Katzenbach Partners. An advisor to both global clients and startups, his teams are recognized for their strategic impact and recently won the 2012 Eddy Award for Innovation.  David was named a Brand Champion of the Future by The Advertiser in 2003. He is co-founder of a naturopathic clinic and currently chairs the board of PROOF: Media for Social Justice.   David has an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a BA from McGill University in Montreal.
  Don Warren, ND
Don Warren, ND, a 1984 graduate of NCNM has served in a number of leadership roles in the profession including president of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and president of the Council on Naturopathic Medical Education. He was a founding member of the Academic Consortium for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, served on an advisory panel for the U.S. Institute of Medicine (IOM) Committee on the Use of Complementary and Alternative Medicine by the American Public, and is presently a Senior Editor for the Naturopathic Foundations Project. He is currently a principle investigator for the Rwanda Selenium Supplementation Clinical Trial. First and foremost he has been and continues to be a general, family practitioner of naturopathic medicine in Ottawa, Canada. He lives with his wife Barbara on a 100 acre organic farm. Their 12 grandkids keep them young and smiling.
  Doni Wilson, ND, CPM, CNS
Dr. Donielle (Doni) Wilson, a naturopathic doctor, certified professional midwife, and certified nutrition specialist, graduated from Bastyr University in 2000.  Author of The Stress Remedy, in which she redefines stress to include toxins, food sensitivities, and imbalanced blood sugar levels, and then offers expert guidance on how to reclaim optimal health, and creator of a gluten-free, dairy-free nutritional regimen - The Hamptons Cleanse - Dr. Doni is passionate about empowering wellness.    In 2004, Dr. Doni was awarded the NYANP Physician of the Year Award, and in 2013 she was honored for serving as the President and Executive Director of the NYANP for the past ten years.  She continues to play an instrumental role, leading the effort to license NDs in New York.  Dr. Doni is frequently called upon to discuss naturopathic medicine and her research related to stress in the media, as well as at both public and professional events.
  Elaine Lewis, ND
Elaine is an ND and research resident, graduating from CCNM. Prior to her medical studies, she attended McMaster University, earning her Honours Bachelor of Science in Behavioural Neuroscience. She is a member of the Ontario and Canadian Associations of Naturopathic Doctors and is licensed by the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy – Naturopathy. As the research resident, she is involved in various projects that contribute evidence to the naturopathic profession, including work on hypertension, IBS, food allergies, arthritis and pediatrics. Elaine emphasizes the impact of evidence-based naturopathic medicine by using this model in her teaching and patient care. Beyond her role as the research resident, she mentors students in a variety of courses and lectures externally to organizations and health-care providers.   Erica Oberg, ND, MPH
Dr. Oberg practices in La Jolla CA at Pacific Pearl. This integrative center of health and healing offers concierge primary care and specialists with MDs, NDs, DCs, under one roof.  Dr. Oberg’s approach to medicine focuses on the science of nutrition and prevention, the art of primary care, and the wisdom of nature. Dr. Oberg graduated Bastyr in 2003, followed by accredited residency. She then proceeded to fellowship training at the University of Washington’s Health Promotion Research Center, completing an MPH in Health Services. Dr. Oberg’s research has been supported by the National Institutes for Health, the WA State Department of Health and numerous foundations. She has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers including studies of naturopathic medicine, the meaning of health & wellness, and evaluation of State-level prevention programs in stroke & heart disease. Gary Weiner, N.D., L.Ac. practices at Pearl Natural Health inPortland, Oregon where he has developed an alternative and complementary careprogram for Inflammatory Bowel Disease. He graduated from N.C.N.M in 1997 andcompleted a one year residency in family medicine. He has served as adjunct facultyand clinical supervisor at N.C.N.M., and is on the medical advisory board of theNorthwest Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. Dr. Gillian Hanson is a naturopathic doctor who is passionate about exploring the ways that technology and medicine intersect to empower patients and physicians alike.   Heather Harrington, NMD
Dr. Heather Harrington, NMD, graduated from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2013.  During her 3rd year at SCNM, she was accepted into the School of Life Sciences at Arizona State University, and is now a candidate for a PhD in Molecular & Cellular Biology focusing on the efficacy and mechanisms of botanicals in disease prevention and treatment.  Dr. Harrington is driven by a passion and desire to understand the holistic nature of naturopathic medicine.  Particularly focusing within immunology and virology, by analyzing the various mechanisms of action behind effective naturopathic treatments.  Some of her current projects include targeting and understanding immune stimulating properties, furthering the understanding of immune system cascades involving receptor activation, the anti-viral action of botanicals and host immune responses to viral infections.   Heather Paulson, ND, FABNO
Heather Paulson, ND, FABNO focuses on helping people diagnosed with cancer and hematological disorders reconnect with their natural state of wellness. After graduating from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, she completed a two-year naturopathic oncology residency at Goshen General Hospital, where she also had training in hematology. Dr. Paulson is a Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology, denoting specialized training and focus in her practice. Heather teaches oncology and hematology at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in both the didactic and clinical setting.   Heidi Fritz, ND
Heidi Fritz MA, ND is a Research Fellow at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). Heidi has conducted a series of systematic reviews of natural therapies in oncology, including intravenous vitamin C, as well as over ten natural health products for lung and breast cancer, funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). She is a 2011 recipient of the Early Investigator Award from the Society of Integrative Oncology. Heidi is involved in whole systems research on naturopathic medicine, including an RCT assessing the effectiveness of naturopathic medicine in reducing risk of cardiovascular disease. Heidi is a graduate of the University of Toronto and CCNM, and has practiced as a nurse at Toronto General Hospital in the multi-organ transplant unit. Heidi practices at Bolton Naturopathic Clinic, just outside of Toronto.

  Jean-Jacques Dugoua, ND, PhD
Dr. Jean-Jacques Dugoua, or Dr. JJ as he is affectionately known, is a naturopathic doctor, clinical pharmacologist and researcher.  He is the Chief Medical Officer of the Liberty Clinic in downtown Toronto and the first Naturopathic Doctor (ND) to practice at the Toronto Western Hospital.  He does research with the Motherisk Program at Sick Kids Hospital as part of the MotherNature Network.  He is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy.    Dr. JJ completed his PhD in Pharmacy Sciences at the University of Toronto.  Dr. JJ is a co-author of “Herbal Medicines in Pregnancy and Lactation – An Evidence-based Approach First Edition” (Taylor & Francis, 2006) and contributing author to “Clinical Pharmacology During Pregnancy” (Academic Press 2012) and “Diabetes: An old disease, new insight” (Landes 2012).  Dr. JJ has many peer-reviewed scientific publications published or in press.  He is a world expert on natural health products pharmacology and pregnancy safety.    Dr. JJ is an avid public speaker, where he has given presentations internationally, including presentations at the World Health Organization in Washington DC.
  Jessica Tran, ND
Jessica Tran, ND Dr. Tran graduated with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and B.A. in Social Ecology with a concentration in Epidemiology and Public Health from the University of California, Irvine.   She received her naturopathic medical degree from Bastyr University.  She completed a one-year Family Practice residency, three-year Environmental Medicine fellowship, and served as Clinical Faculty in both the Departments of Environmental Medicine and General Medicine at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine & Health Sciences.  She maintains a private practice in Irvine, CA.
  Joseph Pizzorno, ND
Dr. Joseph Pizzorno is one of the world’s leading authorities on science-based natural medicine, a term he coined in 1978. Judith Boice, ND, LAc, FABNO, award-winning author, naturopathic physician and acupuncturist, works as a naturopathic oncology provider with Cancer Treatment Centers of America at the Southwestern Regional Medical Center. She has given over 900 presentations on bio-identical hormones, peri-menopause and menopause. She is the author of several magazine articles and nine books. Her book Menopause with Science and Soul: A guidebook for navigating the journey was awarded a silver medal in the Nautilus Book Awards.   Louise McCrindle, ND
Dr. Louise McCrindle, ND maintains a busy naturopathic practice in Toronto and is faculty at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine where she lectures, supervises and leads the Fibromyalgia and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis Focus Shift at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic. Louise worked with Dr. Alison Bested MD, FRCPC who has devoted the last 20 years of her practice to treating fibromyalgia patients, myalgic encephalomyelitis/ chronic fatigue syndrome, and multiple chemical sensitivities and who is now Medical Director of the Complex Chronic Diseases Program at BC Women’s Hospital in Vancouver, British Columbia. Louise and Alison also co-authored the book the Complete Fibromyalgia Health, Diet Guide and Cookbook (released fall 2013).
  Lyn Patrick, ND
Lyn Patrick, ND Dr. Patrick graduated from Bastyr University. She practiced as a primary care provider in Tucson AZ, where she specialized in HIV/AIDS care. Her work in coinfected HIV and chronic hepatitis C individuals lead to membership in the Hepatitis C Caring Ambassadors Team, a group of research hepatologists, clinicians and epidemiologists who work along with integrative care providers to find optimal protocols for treating and managing chronic hepatitis C. In the last 10 years, this work has included designing clinical trials, co-authoring a book on integrative care for chronic hepatitis C and teaching a post-graduate certification class for integrative healthcare providers in the management of chronic hepatitis C.  She has also acted as a Contributing Editor for the Medline-indexed journal Alternative Medicine Review for 10 years.  After receiving postgraduate training in Environmental Medicine and lecturing on metal toxicology, she has designed curriculum for category 1 CME Programs and was faculty for the Metal Toxicology/Chelation Therapy Certification classes.   
  Maria Shapoval, ND
Dr. Maria Shapoval, ND, has graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honors Bachelor of Science majoring in physiology and psychology and received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. She went on to complete the 2-yr accredited Research Residency program at CCNM and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the University of Toronto in Physiology. Dr. Shapoval has published on the topics of neurodegeneration, cognitive decline and endocrine health and is part of the peer-review board of the Integrated Healthcare Practitioner magazine. She is part of the academic faculty at CCNM where she is involved in clinical medicine, primary care and physiology courses.  Dr. Shapoval practices in Keswick Ontario and is a member of the Ontario and Canadian Associations of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND/CAND), and Movement Disorder Society.
  Matthew Baral, ND
Dr. Baral received his ND degree from Bastyr University in 2000.  He is Chair of the Department of Pediatrics and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at SCNM, where he has been supervising students on pediatric rotations and teaching pediatric medicine to medical students for the past twelve years.  Dr. Baral designed the first Naturopathic Pediatric Residency training program and serves as its Director.  His private practice focuses on primary pediatric care and autism and has published three research studies on the correlation between heavy metal toxicity and autism.  Dr. Baral also co-authored the first two books on integrative pediatric medicine:  Integrative Medicine for Children and Integrative Pediatrics.  He serves as the pediatric contributing editor to the Natural Medicine Journal and the International Journal of Naturopathic Medicine, and is the Founding and current President of the Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians.

Dr. Meghan Walker studied naturopathic medicine at the Canadian College ofNaturopathic medicine and holds a BSc from the University of Waterloo. Meghan isthe CEO and Co-founder of Bright Almond, an online marketing automationcompany that connects the public to licensed and regulated CAM practitioners. Inaddition, she maintains a private practice in downtown Toronto and speaksregularly in the media on topics related to health and wellness.   Melvia Agbeko, ND
Dr. Melvia Agbeko, ND is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in Toronto who is currently completing a 2 year Clinical Residency at CCNM. She is involved in teaching various courses and currently supervises 4th year students at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic (RSNC). Specifically, she has helped supervise interns on the Fibromyalgia and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis Focus shift at RSNC and administers IV therapy to patients on the Adjunctive Cancer Care shift. Outside my practice I teach charting and coding at Bastyr, have become certified in ICD-10, and serve as President for the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians. (WANP). Dr. Mona Morstein has a B.S. in Foods and Nutrition and earned her ND and did her Family Residency at National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, OR. Oliver Grundmann is a clinical assistant professor at the College of Pharmacy and holds a courtesy appointment with the College of Nursing, University of Florida. He received his BPharm from the University of Münster, Germany before receiving his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Florida. His research focuses on natural products and complementary and alternative medicines. Dr. Bradley received his ND from Bastyr University in 2003 and his MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Washington in 2009. Prior to entering private practice in La Jolla, CA as a diabetes specialist, he served as the Director of the Bastyr Center for Diabetes & Cardiovascular Wellness from 2005-13. Shiva Barton, ND, LicAc, graduated from Bastyr University in 1983. He is the past president and co-founder of the Massacusetts Society of Naturopathic Doctors. He is also the founder of the Clinical Support Network. Dr. Barton has "lectured" at the annual naturopathic conference for the last 17 years, including the yearly "Clinical Anecdotes: What Works" session, as well as presenting "Therapeutic Magnets for the Treatment of Pain".   Sussanna Czeranko, ND

  Thomas Kruzel, ND
Thomas A. Kruzel N.D. is a naturopathic physician in private practice at the Rockwood Natural Medicine Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona. He received a BA in Biology from the California State University at Northridge, and his Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine degree from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine.  Dr. Kruzel is also a board certified Medical Technologist.   Tracy Gaudet, MD
Dr. Gaudet came to the VA from Duke University Medical Center where she served as Executive Director of Duke Integrative Medicine, a position she held from 2001 to 2010. She led Duke Integrative Medicine to the forefront of the field, co-founding The Consortium of Academic Health Centers for Integrative Medicine and chairing the Membership Committee (2002-2004), as well as serving on the Steering, Executive, Education and Policy Committees.   Trina Doerfler, ND, DC
I graduated from Bastyr (College!) 1992, after having graduated Western States Chiropractic School in 1989.  In private practice since 1989, first exclusively musculoskeletal work with food medicine adjunctively and then branching out into primary care, and later specializing in neuro/endocrine disorders using food, orthomolecular medicine and internal techniques and neurofeedback combined with counseling.  I have been in practice for the last ten years at Seattle Healing Arts in Seattle with Fernando Vega, M.D. and Bruce Milliman, N.D. , and before that at the Good Shepard Center in Wallingford.  I have been privileged to give numerous presentations, online and in person including at Swedish Hospital and the AANP conference in 1998 (Hands On For Headaches).    Outside of work I endeavor to live a bi-cameral life, with art and science practices alive and well.
  Walter J. Crinnion, ND
Walter J. Crinnion ND, received his degree in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington in 1982 with their first graduating class. After starting family practice he began to specialize in allergies and chronic health problems caused by environmental chemical overload. In 1985 he opened the most comprehensive cleansing facility in North America for the treatment of chemically poisoned individuals. He has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals on the topic of environmental overload and conducts ongoing trainings in Environmental Medicine for healthcare professionals. He has been on the board of directors of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and was the recipient of their first award for in-office research in 1999 and was awarded it a second time in 2002. He has been a faculty member at Bastyr University (Seattle, WA.), the National College of Naturopathic Medicine  (Portland, OR.), the University of Bridgeport School of Naturopathic Medicine (Bridgeport, CT.) and Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (Tempe, AZ.) where he chaired their Environmental Medicine Department from 2003 - 2012. In 2001 he appeared three times with Barbara Walters on ABC’s “The View”. His first book: Clean, Green and Lean was published by Wiley and Sons in 2009, and is used as a basic ‘must read’ by many practicing physicians for their patients. He is now the chief science officer at Enzymedica, a manufacture of plant-based enzymes.
  Wendy Weber, ND, PhD, MPH
Wendy Weber, ND, PhD, MPH is a Program Director at the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).  Her portfolio includes research on complementary and alternative medicine approaches to health services, promotion of healthy behavior, and complex medical systems including Naturopathy and integrative medicine. Dr. Weber is a member of the NIH Science of Behavior Change Workgroup and the NIH Prevention Research Coordinating Committee. She also serves as the Program Officer for the Health Care Systems Research Collaboratory Coordinating Center, which is an NIH Common Fund Initiative. Prior to joining NCCAM, she was a Research Associate Professor at Bastyr University and taught Public Health, Research Methods and Design, and Critical Evaluation of the Literature. Her clinical practice focused on the treatment of children and adolescents with mental health conditions, abdominal pain, headaches, and allergies. Dr. Weber’s research included the study of herbal treatments for pediatric conditions. She has published on Echinacea’s effect on colds in children, naturopathic treatment of children, and complementary treatments for ADHD. Her articles have appeared in the Journal of the American Medical Association, the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, and Pediatrics.  Dr. Weber earned a Doctorate of Philosophy in Epidemiology and a Master of Public Health from the University of Washington. She earned her naturopathic degree from Bastyr University.
