Congress recently passed a resolution that recognizes the value of naturopathic medicine in providing “safe, effective, and affordable health care” and encourages Americans to learn more. The week of October 7th-13th is being nationally recognized as Naturopathic Medicine Week in an effort to educate Americans on natural medicine.In honor of Naturopathic Medicine week, Richmond Natural Medicine will be hosting a free lecture and information session led by Dr. Leah Hollon and Dr. Mandy Corwin at Ellwood Thompson's Local Market on Monday, October 7th, 2013 from 6p-8p. Naturopathic medicine is a form of medicine that offers individualized health solutions, addresses the underlying cause of illness, emphasizes prevention, takes the whole person into account, and uses natural medicine and lifestyle therapies to promote health and healing.
