Commonwealth Laboratories, Inc., and AANP are proud to announce their new partnership which will work to create and maintain multiple educational platforms to promote and provide information on Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO).
Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) is a condition in which abnormally large numbers of bacteria, 100,000 bacteria per ml of fluid or more, are present in the small intestine. In SIBO, the form of bacteria in the small intestine is much more indicative of the bacteria of the colon and not the small intestine.
Headquartered in Salem, Massachusetts; Commonwealth Laboratories offers specialized, laboratory-based hydrogen and methane breath analysis to provide a fast, reliable and convenient diagnostic tool for identifying Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), Lactose Intolerance, Fructose Intolerance, Sucrose Intolerance and Helicobacter Pylori (H. Pylori). Its tests are ordered by physicians and given to patients either to administer the test in the comfort of their own home, or in the office. The test is then shipped back to the lab using prepaid postage and the results are delivered back to the physician within 12-24 hours of receipt of the specimens. Commonwealth maintains a staff of physicians, board certified toxicologists and certified medical technologists to assist in immediate result interpretation or to answer any other question a client may have. Clients can access their results through Commonwealth Labs’ secure, HIPAA-Compliant website at www.hydrogenbreathtesting.com
or have results faxed to a secure line.
