After accepting the AANP Physician of the Year award with a great sense of humility and with deep gratitude, Dr. Alshuler has been hard at work to try to earn that award!

In August, Lise Alschuler, ND, FABNO, became the newest President of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Taking over the reins from Dr. Jacob Schor, who did tremendous work for the organization is no small task! It is a very exciting time to be in naturopathic oncology as the awareness and acceptance of integrative oncology, and naturopathic oncology in particular, is growing.

On that note, in September, the 2nd edition of Integrative Oncology, eds. Donald Abrams and Andrew Weil was published. Drs. Alschuler and Leanna Standish revised their botanical medicine chapter and wrote a new chapter on naturopathic oncology - very exciting recognition of this field.  Speaking of books, also in September, Dr. Alschuler's second book, Definitive Guide to Thriving After Cancer, co-authored with my long-time business partner and friend, Karolyn Gazella, became a #1 bestseller on Amazon!

Speaking of selling, Dr. Alschuler is also very excited about the launch of a new product suite, ProThrivers, from Integrative Therapeutics that she helped to develop. These products are especially suited to cancer survivors, but are applicable to many people who are in need of health optimization. The product suite addresses common post-treatment issues as well as unique nutritional needs and contraindications of supplemented ingredients for survivors. Integrative Therapeutics is sponsoring Drs. Alschuler and Tina Kaczor on a multi-city educational tour this fall ( ).

And, Dr. Alschuler's work for patients continues. Her naturopathic oncology practice at Naturopathic Specialists ( remains an incredible learning experience, a privilege and a honor to do. Finally, Karolyn and her are busy making more survivorship information available. They recently created a free 68-page gorgeous compilation of 5 issues of Five to Thrive digital magazine. They are offering this free!

Dr. Alschuler continues to love what she does and is grateful every day!
