For any state association looking to make legislative headway, having a capable lobbyist is a must.  AANP’s next State Alliance webinar – being held Monday, December 16th from 7-8 pm EST – will bring you insights on how to make that relationship work.
You’ll hear directly from two experienced lobbyists who represent state associations.  Terry Kohl has worked on behalf of the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians for more than 10 years, and Jim McComb has been at the forefront of significant progress the Maryland Association of Naturopathic Physicians has made on licensure.  Together, they'll explain what makes a good client from their perspective – how you can best organize for legislative success, communicate effectively with your lobbyist and, ultimately, achieve your advocacy goals!
Whether you’re in a state that’s licensed or yet to be, and regardless of your association’s legislative goals, this webinar will be essential for charting your course during the 2014 session! Reserve you seat at www1.gotomeeting.com/register/348067536.

The DC FLI: Coming Next Year
AANP’s premier legislative event – the DC FLI – has been set for April 26-28, 2014.  Mark down those dates and plan to join your peers and colleagues in the nation’s capital!
Anyone who’s been to the FLI can tell you that it’s an exciting opportunity to speak up for the profession by meeting directly with your elected representatives.  Last spring, NDs convinced Members of Congress to sponsor a resolution creating Naturopathic Medicine Week – and the very first Week celebrating the profession in the US came to fruition.
This year’s FLI will return to the Saturday-through-Monday format of previous events, with the program getting underway Saturday afternoon and concluding with AANP’s Whole Health Reception on Monday evening.  Stay tuned for more information.
