As part of an emerging and growing health profession, naturopathic doctors have an unique opportunity to represent the field both within the clinical setting and out in the community through local networking and political advocacy. This presentation is designed to connect naturopathic students and doctors alike to their personal truth and passion for the profession while strengthening our collective voice to overcome the barriers and increase access to naturopathic care across the country.
Emily Telfair, ND graduated from Bastyr University and practices in Baltimore, Maryland where she supports healing and transformation for adults and children with chronic health concerns using traditional naturopathic modalities and cranio-sacral therapy. She is past president of the Maryland Naturopathic Doctors Association and currently serves as co-chair of the State Alliance Committee through the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Dr. Telfair is past recipient of the AANP President’s Award for her leadership in the passage of legislation to license naturopathic doctors in Maryland. Through her own journey of practicing mindfulness and self-care, Dr. Telfair has come to appreciate the deep-acting nature of simple healing tools such as nutrition, meditation and herbal medicine to address complex health concerns such as chronic pain, mood disorders and stress-related illness.
This AANP webinar is free for members; the non-member cost is $39.
