Today’s patient is consumed with conflicting information, misinformation, conspiracy theories and downright frustration surrounding Lyme disease and other tick borne illnesses. Lyme disease is a true health epidemic with annual exponential increases in reported incidences. Lyme disease is also a comfort for people with unexplained health issues as they are given a definitive diagnosis, even if it is only based on their symptoms or questionable diagnostics.
Dr. Bush has clinical experience in two different Lyme disease “hot zones,” New Hampshire and Minnesota. He previously worked as an executive at a company that brought a laboratory-developed Lyme test to market. His unique experience in both the clinical and lab business worlds has shaped his approach with patients.
Currently, of the new patients presenting to his clinic with a working diagnosis of chronic Lyme disease, he estimates that 15% have an active tick-borne illness, 33% have Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) alone, 33% have SIBO plus another non-infectious issue and 10% have an undiagnosed autoimmune or endocrine disorder.
During this webinar Dr. Bush will discuss the shortcomings of diagnostic options and the daunting atmosphere commonly surrounding Lyme disease. Dr. Bush will share his diagnostic approach to tick borne illnesses and other imbalances that mimic an active case of Borreliosis.
